Female Ride-Hailing Driver Assaulted by Passenger in Arlington

A woman driving a ride-hailing vehicle in Arlington, Virginia, was sexually assaulted by a male passenger early Sunday morning, police say.

The passenger inappropriately touched the driver and then got out and ran away, Arlington County police said. 

Police were called to the 5200 block of Wilson Boulevard in Arlington about 1:10 a.m. Sunday. Police looked for the attacker but could not find him. 

The passenger is described as a thin, white male with blonde hair and a red beard who is about 5 feet 6 inches tall, police said. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and light colored shorts, police said.

Police are still investigating the crime. Information was not released immediately on the driver's employer.
