Police have released video of two men wanted in a robbery and attempted sexual assault of a teen girl earlier this month.

A 17-year-old girl was walking in an alley in the 7400 block of 9th Street NW around 5:30 p.m. Feb. 19 when she was approached by two men, who pushed her to the ground, police said.

"The young lady did exactly what she should have done," Cmdr. Dan Hickson with D.C. Police said. "She made a decision to resist the assault, then sought help from an adult in a house close by."

The girl said one of the men attempted to sexually assault her, while the other took property from her.

The men fled the scene shortly after, police said.

The first suspect is described as a black man with a dark complexion, standing 5'9", betweeen 16 and 21 years old. He was wearing unknown colored pants, a black jacket, a black skull cap and black glasses during the assault.
