Police Release Names of 3 Who Died in Fairfax House Fire

Fire officials have identified the three people who died in a Fairfax, Virginia, house fire earlier this week

Robert Glen Edmanson, Sr., 63; Sandralee Edmanson, 61, and Christina J. Minton, 56, died due to a fire early Tuesday at a home in the 11400 block of Popes Head Road, the Fairfax Fire & Rescue Departmemt said on Twitter.

Firefighters were called to the home about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday. They arrived to find fire coming from all four sides of the one-story home, Battalion Chief Willie Bailey of the Fairfax County Fire Department said. 

Bailey said one person died inside the home, and another died on the way to the hospital. Fire officials said Wednesday that a third victim had also died.

A fourth person was critically injured in the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Firefighters said the blaze began in a back bedroom.
