Police Need Help in Solving Arlington Murder

Second murder in Arlington has police looking for clues

Police fanned out across the Clarendon area Wednesday night looking for information in the county’s second murder of the year.

The body of Carl Diener, 57, was found early Tuesday morning along North Jackson Street, very close to a popular area known for its nightlife in Arlington.  Diener was a government retiree, who frequently walked to his part-time job at a local fitness club.

Police will not say how Diener died, but he was found suffering from upper body trauma.

Anyone who has any information about his death or the identity of the suspect is asked to call the Arlington Police Tip-Line at (703) 228-4242. Witnesses can also call Arlington County Crime Solvers at 866-411-TIPS.

Crime Solvers offers a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.  Callers to Crime Solvers do not have to give their names and do not need to testify in court.
