A Woodbridge, Va., man is facing several charges after police say he broke into a woman's apartment and fondled her as she slept.

Arlington County Police say Joshua Barrett, 23, is being held without bond following his arrest on Feb. 16.

Barrett allegedly entered the victim's apartment in the 4500 block of Arlington Boulevard around 3 a.m. Sunday by breaking a window on the rear door. According to police, Barrett entered the woman's bedroom and fondled her as she slept. The victim woke up and screamed when she saw the suspect lying next to her. Authorities say she ran to the lobby of her apartment complex and called police.

Barrett was found standing outside the rear of the apartment, police said. He was taken into custody after a foot pursuit.

Barrett is charged with burglary with intent to commit rape and sexual assault and battery.
