Thieves Steal $1,500 Worth of Baby Formula: PD

Several people are accused of stuffing hundreds of dollars worth of baby formula from a Maryland grocery store.

The incidents were reported May 19 and 20 at the Weis Markets on Spring Ridge Parkway in Frederick.

During the first incident, a group of women were seen on surveillance video stuffing multiple bottles and cases of baby formula into their bags and leaving the store without paying. In that incident, store employees estimate $726 worth of baby formula was stolen.

In the second case, an employee noticed the baby formula shelf was empty and later saw a group of four women and two men, possibly teenagers, filling their bags with baby formula on the store's video surveillance. Employees say $861 worth of baby formula was stolen.
