A man found dead in his Damascus, Md. apartment is at the center of a suspicious death investigation.

A Pentagon worker worker was found dead inside her apartment in Alexandria Tuesday.

Juantissa Hill, 24, was found Tuesday afternoon inside her apartment in the 300 block of South Van Dorn Street.  Her family said she was a Navy petty officer who worked at the Pentagon.

"I am deeply saddened by the sudden death of Petty Officer Juantissa Hill," said Adm. Gary Roughead, chief of naval operations, in a statement released Thursday. "Petty Officer Hill was a model sailor whose talent, professionalism and vibrant personality will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know and work with her."

Alexandria Police wouldn't say if they had any leads in the case.  They declined to say whether her home was burglarized or if someone Hill knew had targeted her.  Police would only say she was the victim of a violent attack.

Hill's car was missing, but police found it after 11 p.m. Wednesday.

  • Woodbridge Monday, May 25 at 9:14 AM FLAG COMMENT To Chantill y- you read this story and all you could come up with is the mentioning of her as an officer even though she was an enlisted member. You should have kept that to yourself. That was a needless comment. A young woman is dead here. This is what I'm talking about some of you Officers have no common sense. Who cares what the newspaper referred her as.
