Man Killed in Police-Involved Shooting in Southeast

Police shot and killed a man in southeast D.C. Tuesday afternoon.

The officer who fired is with the gun recovery unit, Jackie Bensen reported. That officer and at least one other officer confronted a man with a gun in the 2400 block of Elvans Road SE at about 2:30 p.m.

Police recovered a gun they believe was the supect's, Bensen reported.
