Police-Involved Shooting in Oxon Hill

Police believe the victim was high on PCP

A fight apparently led to shooting between a man and Prince George's County Police Sunday night.

Two officers suffered minor injuries, and a man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident began when police were called to the 5100 block of Woodland Boulevard in Oxon Hill around 10 p.m. for a report of a suspicious man. When they arrived, they found a man covered in blood. Police say the man fought with officers when they tried to help him.

An officer used a stun gun on him, but that only made him angrier and he threatened them, police say. One officer then shot the man.

Police believe he was high on PCP at the time.
