Police are investigating a shooting near the Gallery Place metro in Northwest D.C. this morning.

The shooting happened around 6 a.m. and an adult male has been transported to a nearby hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Police say a fight inside the McDonald's led to a shooting outside, but right now it's unclear who fired the gun.

The 700 block of F Street is blocked off right now.
