Police Searching for Suspect in Tenleytown Sexual Assault

Woman Sexually Assaulted in Tenleytown

Police are searching for a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman Tuesday night on Wisconsin Avenue in Tenleytown.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the suspect grabbed a woman as she was walking at about 11:45 p.m., forced her behind a building on Wisconsin Avenue and Van Ness Street NW and sexually assaulted her.

Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic male between six feet and six feet two inches tall and weighing between 200-250 pounds. The man is reportedly between 30 and 40 years old, with a muscular build and tattoos on both arms.

He was last seen wearing a black shirt with writing on the back, possibly in Spanish.
