Police Investigating After Sexual Assault in Northwest D.C.

Police in the District of Columbia are seeking the public's help in identifying and locating a suspect in connection with a sexual assault that happened in northwest Washington.

The Metropolitan Police Department says it happened Monday in the area of the 1700 block of Lanier Place NW. Police say an adult female was approached around 1:15 a.m. by a suspect who was armed with a screwdriver. Police say she was sexually assaulted and robbed.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his mid-twenties between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 7 inches tall. He was seen wearing a black shirt with white lettering on the front of the shirt, white socks and blue short pants.
