Police Interviewing Roommate in Woman's Stabbing Death at Rockville Apartment

A woman was found stabbed to death in a Rockville apartment Tuesday morning.

Sources told News4 the body was found by a maintenance worker at the White Flint Station apartments in the 11800 block of Old Georgetown Road just after 10 a.m.

The woman had been stabbed in the upper body and investigators say she may have been dead for quite some time. Police say they have been interviewing her roommate.

"[The roommate is] identified as a female in her 50s," Capt. Paul Starks with Montgomery County Police said. "She was present when police arrived."

No other details -- including the victim's name -- have been released at this time.

The location was initially identified as Bethesda.
