Anne Arundel County police say they've received several complaints about explicit photos of teens on Instagram and other social networking sites.
According to investigators, images on several different Instagram pages reference high schools in the county. A special internet crimes task force is working with the FBI and state police to investigate these cases. At this point in the investigation, police say there are no images that fall under child pornography under Maryland law.
But police still need your help.
Parents are asked to report any inappropriate photos; they are also urged to talk to their children about the repercussions of posting explicit photos.
Authorities in Virginia are investigating similar cases. Detectives say they found more than a thousand photos and videos of nude or almost nude teens on Instagram.
