Police have identified the man who was killed in southeast D.C. early Tuesday morning.
Officers were called to the 2600 block of Wade Road just after 1:30 a.m. after someone in the area reported hearing gunshots.
When police arrived to the scene, they found the victim, 19-year-old Ronnie Scharrod Edon, in the 2600 block of Birney Place SE. Police say Edon of Forestville, Maryland, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No suspect information has been released at this time.
