D.C. Police released a photo of the towel that an infant girl was wrapped in when she was found abandoned in Northeast Washington.

The picture shows a towel with multi-color stripes.

A man found the baby unconscious on a step outside the fence of a house in the 3000 block of Channing Street NE on January 15. At the time, the temperature was below freezing.

The man and his dad called for help and administered CPR.  Emergency crews rushed the baby to Children's Medical Center, where she later died.

The medical examiner is still determining the cause of death.
