Police: Gunman Arrested Near Georgetown Waterfront

A man was arrested after he allegedly fired several shots near the Georgetwown Waterfront Sunday night.

D.C. police said the incident happened at the 3000 block of K Street NW.

An officer patrolling the waterfront heard a few gunshots and saw a man running. Several witnesses told police they saw the man had a gun.

There was a large police presence in the area and officers eventually found the suspect and arrested him. Police also recovered the suspect's gun.

No injuries or property damage has been reported, police said.
