Police: George Washington Student Sexually Assaulted in Alley Near Campus

Three men sexually assaulted a George Washington University student near the campus over the weekend, according to D.C. Police.

According to the GW Hatchet, around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, a female student was walking in an alleyway off the 2400 block of I Street NW when three men approached and sexually assaulted her. They then fled the location.

The Hatchet reports that the university sent an email through the GW alert system Tuesday asking anyone with information to contact school or city police.

The men are described as white and in their 20s.

One is said to be approximately 6-foot-3-inches tall with light brown hair. He was wearing a dark, short-sleeve T-shirt with the word "Fitch" in large white letters across it.

Another is described as shorter with a medium build. He was wearing a dark V-neck shirt and a black Nike Fuel Band on his right wrist.

No further description was given for the third man.

Anyone with any information regarding the case can call police at 202-727-9099 or text the number 50411. D.C. Police currently offer a reward up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of persons responsible for an assault committed in the district.
