Police Expand Efforts to Find Suspects in UMES Student Slaying

Maryland State Police say investigators have expanded their search for the person or persons who killed a college student during homecoming week last year.

Twenty-one-year-old Edmond St. Clair of Severn was fatally stabbed Feb. 16, 2013, on the campus of University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Troopers say St. Clair was in a car with others when they encountered a group walking.

Police say an altercation broke out and St. Clair was stabbed in the upper torso.

Investigators say as many as three people may be involved in St. Clair's slaying.

Authorities are looking for witnesses who were in the area when the crime occurred.
