Police are searching for a man who they said sexually assaulted a young girl when she was walking home from her school bus stop in Prince George’s County, Maryland.

Police said the incident occurred on Sept. 28 near Devon Hills Drive and Grasmere Court in Fort Washington, Maryland. They said the elementary school student was grabbed by a man, pulled between two cars, and inappropriately touched.

A spokesman for Prince George’s County Public Schools, John White, said parents should talk to their children about walking in groups.

The young girl was alone when the alleged attack occurred, according to authorities.

Police described the man as Hispanic, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 260 pounds. He has black hair and a mustache. He was wearing a green shirt at the time of the attack.
