A Chevy Chase Village police cruiser and a minivan were involved in a crash Thursday evening.
It happened around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Brookeville Road and Thornapple Street.
The police cruiser flipped over on its top, and the minivan ended up on the curb.
A Chevy Chase police officer was one of two people taken to a local hospital in ambulances. Authorities said injuries to both are not life threatening.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
