Deputies Arrest Rape Suspect at BWI Marshall Airport

Obrian James allegedly sexually assaulted a woman last October

The Office of the Sheriff’s Warrant Squad arrested a man on a second-degree rape warrant at the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport as he was disembarking a flight from Jamaica, authorities said.

Obrian James allegedly sexually assaulted a woman after pulling her into a room and locking the door at his home in the 300 block of Beverly Court in Fort Washington last October, authorities said.

Investigators found James had fled the country and was returning to the United States on a flight from Jamaica. With the assistance of airport police, James was taken into custody on May 2 without incident.

James was charged with second-degree rape, second-degree assault and false imprisonment.
