Police Arrest Man After Eight-Hour Stake Out

A man who was barricaded inside his home from Sunday night until early Monday morning was arrested and charged with gun and other charges.

Jerome Arrington, 45, was charged with brandishing a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and driving on a revoked license after police arrested him at about 5:50 a.m. Monday.

The standoff began hours earlier, at approximately 9:20 p.m. Sunday, when Manassas City Police responded to a report of a man brandishing a gun on the 9300 block of Tarra Lane.

Arrington, 45, had appeared at another person's home and asked him to meet outside. When the victim did not comply, Arrington allegedly displayed a handgun.

The victim contacted police while Arrington fled towards his home on Scarlet Oak Drive and barricaded himself inside.

Police established a perimeter and remained on-scene until the suspect was apprehended without incident.

Arrington is being held on a $3,000 bond and has a pending court date in Prince William General District Court.
