Police: 27 Pounds of Marijuana Confiscated

The DEA arrested three men in Tysons Corner for attempting to import and distribute marijuana

Alexandria police have charged three California men with conspiracy to import 27 pounds of marijuana into Virginia.

Frederick Salyes, Gabriel Sepeda, and David Flowers, were charged following a joint undercover narcotics investigation.

Police say they arrested the three men last Thursday evening in the Tysons Corner area of Fairfax County.

The suspects were in the process of transporting more than 27 pounds of marijuana into the state, according to police. The estimated street value of the marijuana is $635,000.

The men were also charged with conspiracy to distribute and are held without bond at the Alexandria Adult Detention Center. Authorities say is an ongoing investigation and additional charges may be pending.
