Man Shot at Morgan State, Suspect in Custody

Male victim has non-life-threatening injuries

A suspect is in custody after shooting a student Friday afternoon on the campus of Morgan State University in Baltimore.

The student who was shot is a football player, campus authorities said in a briefing Friday afternoon. They did not release his name.

The victim has non-life-threatening injuries.

The shooting happened around 1 p.m. near a residence hall in the 1700 block of East Cold Spring Lane, which runs through the northern part of the Morgan State campus, said a police spokesman.

Police have also recovered a weapon.

A shooting on the campus in September also injured one person.
