Plane Overshoots Runway, Crashes in Louisa County, Va.

Pilot was attempting to make an emergency landing

A plane overshot the runway and crashed at an airport in Louisa County, Va., Tuesday morning.

Virginia State Police say no one was injured in the incident.

The pilot was attempting to make an emergency landing at the Lake Anna Airport in Bumpass. The plane was having mechanical issues and crashed occurred shortly after 8 a.m., said Sgt. Thomas J. Molnar.

There was one passenger aboard.

State police are investigating the crash. No other details were immediately available.
