Second pit bull dognapping case in two weeks

Manassas City police are searching for an 8-week-old puppy stolen from its owner’s backyard Tuesday afternoon.

The owner of the dog said her white and tan pit bull puppy, Zeus, was taken from her home in the 900 block of Whispering Pine Court.

This is the second dognapping in two weeks in the D.C. area: A 4-week-old pit bull reportedly was stolen from its owner at gunpoint Oct. 10 in southeast D.C.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
