A photographer pulled over to the side of the road to take a picture of a deer Monday night. But instead of a nature shot, he received a grotesque surprise -- a skull that’s believed to be human, according to InsideNova.com.
The skull and other apparent human remains were located in the 10200 block of Furnace Road near Route 1 in Lorton.
Detectives are waiting for results on the autopsy to determine if the remains are in fact human.
