A Metro train arrives in the Gallery Place - Chinatown Metro Station.

Metro riders experienced delays on the Red Line Monday afternoon when a minor was pushed into a stopped train during an altercation.

The train was held for 45 minutes while authorities investigated, so other trains single-tracked between the Farragut North and Judiciary Square stations.

The minor fell on the platform and was taken to an area hospital for treatment. His condition is unknown.

Metro initially reported a person struck by a train.
