A man was struck and killed by an Orange Line train Wednesday morning at the West Falls Church-VT/UVA Metrorail station.

Metro said the man was on the tracks intentionally when he was struck by the six-car train as it pulled into the station at about 11:15 a.m.

Trains are sharing one track through the station to allow train service to pass through the area. Delays of up to 30 minutes in the area as well as some other delays along the Orange Line until mid-afternoon are expected.
