Person Injured After Jumping in Front of Green Line Train

A person was injured Monday after apparently jumping in front of a train on Metro's Green Line, the transit agency said.

D.C. fire and emergency personnel were called to the Fort Totten station on the Green Line for a report of a person who had jumped in front of a train. The victim had been taken from the tracks and was inside the train when the emergency personnel arrived.

The victim was treated at the scene and then taken to a local hospital.

The Green and Yellow lines are single tracking between Georgia Avenue and West Hyattsville.
