Man Barricades Self Inside Northeast D.C. Home

D.C. police and U.S. marshals are on the scene where a man has barricaded himself inside a Northeast D.C. home.

Officers were called to the 4900 block of Meade Street NE at about 10:30 a.m. Friday, after a caller told 911 that someone inside the home had barricaded himself inside the attic.

A U.S. marshall spokesperson said the man is wanted for some parole violations. The situation is ongoing. Authorities are trying to resolve the situation peacefully.

Police have closed portions of 48th Street, 50th Street, Nash Street and Lee Street.

There's no word on whether the man is armed.
