Pepco restored power early Saturday afternoon to thousands of customers after cable problems left them in the dark for a couple of hours.
About 10:30 a.m., 4,000 to 5,000 customers in Prince George’s County lost power, as did about 1,000 customers in southeast D.C.
A high rise was evacuated briefly because the backup generator malfunctioned, News4's Derrick Ward reported.
