The Montgomery County Council's Public Safety Committee met with Pepco Thursday to find out how quickly the power company will restore electricity to special needs customers.
Those customers would include people who use breathing machines, as well as those considered to be in a life or death situation.
Pepco was under fire this summer after storms knocked out power across the area.
In some cases, it took days to turn the electricity back on.
