Lelia Whitfield, 50, has been identified as the pedestrian killed in a crash in Landover, Md., Thursday morning.
Prince George's County police said Whitfield was walking along the 7600 block of Landover Road when she was hit by a car. The victim lived in the area.
The driver who hit her stayed at the scene.
Prince George's County police said they do not believe alcohol or speed played a factor in the crash.
No charges have been filed so far.
