Prince George’s County police said a man was struck and killed along Annapolis Road in Bladensburg Saturday night.
Investigators said the incident occurred in the 5400 block of Annapolis Road. The victim, identified as 59-year-old Peter Kehinde Adegbite of Bladensburg, was transported to a local hospital where he died.
The driver involved in the accident remained at the scene. Police say it appears as though Adegbite walked in the path of the car, not using a crosswalk.
Route 450, also known as Annapolis Road, was briefly shut down during the response and investigation.
