Pedestrian Dies in Fairfax County

22-year-old man hit, killed by two cars

A 22-year-old man was hit and killed by a car on Silverbrook Road near Crosspointe Drive in Fairfax Station Saturday evening.

Investigators say that Michael Henley of Fairfax Station was trying to cross Silverbrook Road when he was hit by a GMC Acadia that was traveling east. Henley was then thrown into the westbound lane, where he was hit a second time by a Chrysler minivan.

Henley was airlifted to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Acadia was identified as a 36-year-old man, while the driver of the Chrysler minivan was described as a 46-year-old man. Both drivers were from Fairfax Station.

An investigation is ongoing, but it is not believed that speed or alcohol were factors in the decision.  No charges have been filed.
