Pat's Snow Stick Challenge: A Winner Has Been Chosen!

As snow continues to stick throughout the D.C. metro area, News4's Pat Collins set out to find the District's best snow hat, and a winner has been chosen!

Competition was steep, with the top five hats including"The Sea Urchin", a "Baby Pat", "The Turkey Hat", "The Hat for Two" and "The Well-Dressed Hat", but there could be only one winner.

The victors, Caroline and Kevin of Prince George's County, or "The Hat for Two" were chosen based on creativity, and the closeness the multi-colored tube hat creates.

The scarf-turned-hat was knit by Caroline's mother as a man's scarf until it "took on a life of its own," and became the winning creation. The hat works perfectly for the couple, who recently celebrated their 25th anniversary, and jokes that maybe the hat will help to keep them together for the next 25 years.

The winners received the much-coveted Pat Collins Snow Stick as prize, as well as bragging rights to having the coolest cold-weather style in the land.
