A passenger was killed when the car he was in was hit in a side-impact collision Saturday afternoon in Rockville, Md.

Montgomery County police responded to an incident at Maryland Avenue and Great Falls Road. They found a Toyota Corolla with its passenger side damaged by an Oldsmobile Bravada.

Percival Bellamy, 89, of Kensington, was the passenger in the Corolla. He was transported to a hospital where he died.

A preliminary investigation showed the Corolla turned in front of the Bravada while trying to go left onto Potomac Valley Road.

David Alan Bellamy, 53, of Hanover, was the driver of the Toyota and the victim’s son. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Oldsmobile, Rachel Miller Dawson, 73, of Potomac, was not injured and remained on the scene.
