Overturned Truck Spills Industrial Adhesives on I-95

Driver charged with reckless driving

A tractor-trailer carrying caulking material and other industrial adhesives overturned in the southbound lanes in Prince William County Wednesday morning, spilling its contents onto the roadway.

The tractor-trailer rear-ended a highway crash-cushion truck that was protecting a street sweeper cleaning along the right shoulder.

Virginia State Police spokeswoman Corrine Geller says The tractor-trailer overturned onto the jersey wall near mile marker 156 at 10:23 a.m. The impact of the crash ruptured the truck.

As 3:50 p.m., the scene was cleared and all lanes were open.

The driver of the tractor-trailer, 48-year-old Dean A. Brames of Florida, was treated for minor injuries at Potomac Hospital and released.

Barmes is charged with reckless driving.
