Crews Battle Large Fire at Rockville Business

Over 150 firefighters called to scene.

The roof of a carpentry shop collapsed Monday morning as firefighters battled a large fire at the Rockville, Md., business.

Over 150 firefighters were called to the 2-alarm fire in the 1000 block of Taft Street Monday morning. Fire officials believe the sparks from tools being used inside Kevin Smith Building and Design started the fire. The fire was confined to the wood shop.

Everyone inside the business got out safely.

Officials say the building suffered an estimate $1 million in damage.
