A pastor banned from the church his family built says he will hold services at a different location this weekend.
The Rev. Joel Peebles thanked his supporters and told them that he would preach on Sunday in New Carrollton, Md.
On Wednesday, the board of trustees decided to oust Peebles from the Jericho City of Praise in Landover. Peebles's late mother, Apostle Betty Peebles, was one of the founders of the church. Her will dictated that the board be created, but Joel says Betty was too ill to dictate that will.
Services will be held Sunday at 10 a.m. at the Metro Points Hotel on Annapolis Road in New Carrollton.
