Former Fire Chief Killed in Route 210 Crash

A former Prince George's County fire chief was killed after an early morning car wreck in Fort Washington.

Spokesman Mark Brady said retired Deputy Fire Chief Carla D. Blue was killed during a crash occurring at about 3 a.m. on Saturday on Route 210.

Police say a car traveling southbound on Route 210 collided with another car attempting to make a left turn onto Old Fort Road.

Police say the cause of the crash is still under investigation. Brady said Blue retired in October 2009 after 20 dedicated years of service to the department and to the residents of Prince George’s County.
