1 Day, 1 Man, 2 DUIs

Maryland State Police charge a man with two DUIs in one day

A Pennsylvania man racked up two DUI charges in less than 12 hours in Maryland, according to police.

DelmarvaNow.com reports that troopers first said they charged Daniel Fitchett Jr., 34, with drunken driving when they stopped him near Manklin Creek Road in Berlin, Md. That was at about 1 a.m. Friday. Police told Fitchett not to drive for 12 hours.

Then, police said Fitchett needed help finding his car and called state police and Ocean Pines police several times.

According to DelmarvaNow.com, at about 6:30 a.m. the same day, officers went to where Fitchett's car was parked on the shoulder of the road when he was first stopped. That’s when they said they saw him get in his car and drive off. Authorities stopped Fitchett again and charged him with DUI -- again.
