Metropolitan Police said one man was killed and a woman is in the hospital after a shooting late Friday night.
Police said officers responded to the 3000 block of Stanton Road, SE, and found two people with gunshot wounds. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are still investigating.
