Prince George's County police say a shooting in the parking lot of a shopping center in Forestville has left one person dead and another injured.
Police spokesman Cpl. Evan Baxter says officers were called to the Penn Forest Shopping Center for the sound of gunshots about 8 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities at the scene found one man dead. He was identified as 27-year-old Anthony Washington of Landover.
Police say a woman was also found with a gunshot wound. She ran into a nearby store seeking help after the shooting. The woman was taken to a hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.
Authorities said the gunman was wearing a black mask and black clothes. Police are reviewing surveillance cameras for clues.
