One person was killed and another injured after a motorcycle crashed in Frederick County, Md., Sunday afternoon.
Maryland State Police said motorcycle was traveling on Route 550 near Sabillasville, Md., when the driver lost control of the vehicle in a turn on the roadway. The driver and a female passenger were both thrown clear of the motorcycle.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger was taken to Meritus Hospital in Washington County.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. The names of the victim and injured are being withheld until relatives can be notified.
