The driver of a minivan lost control of his vehicle after striking a deer in Prince George's County, Md., and crashed into the garage of a home.

A police cruiser was the first vehicle to hit the deer in the 11800 block of Meadowland Drive in Mitchellville.

The driver of the van travelling behind the police car was unable to avoid the animal and ended up hitting the house.

The driver of the van was taken to a hospital in stable condition.

No one else was injured.
