An incident in which one Metropolitan Police Department officer was shot in the leg and two others were injured is related to the shooting at the U.S. Census Bureau headquarters in Suitland, Maryland, D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier said.
As many as 40 police cars went to 1th and H streets in Northeast D.C. for the police-involved shooting, D.C. police confirmed.
The officers are expected to be OK.
