Occupy D.C. Back in McPherson Square

The return comes shortly after protesters decamped from the downtown park

Members of the Occupy D.C. protest group have returned to Washington's McPherson Square, setting up new tents on the park's newly seeded grass.

The return comes just days after the protesters decided to pack up, leave and operate out of an office space instead. About 30 protesters began hanging banners and setting up tents once again on Thursday. A sign read "Occupy DC Here to Stay.''

The group began camping at the park in October, but in February the U.S. Park Police began strictly enforcing regulations that prohibit camping. The Park Service had allowed demonstrators to maintain tents in the park as long as protesters weren't camping there.
